City Paying $29K for Water Damages to Business

BRANSON, Mo. – The City of Branson is paying out more than 29-thousand dollars to a downtown business that sustained water damages during the 2016 Autumn Daze Festival.

According to Human Resources Director Jan Fischer, improper installation of a temporary water meter allowed water from a fire hydrant to intrude into RockBottom Studios, located at 112 East Atlantic Street.

Fischer says the city’s insurance policy doesn’t cover the damages, including lost artwork, furniture and other items…
