Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery

MONETT, Mo. – The Monett Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for armed robbery.

Police say 36-year-old Jason Michael Withnell of Monett has been on the run since February 24th, when he allegedly entered Herd’s General Store on South Lincoln Road, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

Charges of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon have been filed by the Barry County Prosecutor’s Office. The warrant for Withnell’s arrest carries a cash-only bond of 75-thousand dollars
