Republic Man Charged for DWI Following Vehicle Crash

REPUBLIC, Mo. – A man from Republic is charged for driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle early Sunday morning, five miles northwest of Republic in Greene County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 32-year-old Gary Gruenewald was traveling northbound on Route FF at Farm Road 156 at 3 a.m., when he ran his vehicle off of the roadway and struck a culvert, a stop sign, a fence and then a telephone pole.

Gruenewald was arrested, but released to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to be treated for moderate injuries. He is being charged with felony DWI, felony …read more
