Trial Set for Man Charged with Assaulting an Officer

FORSYTH, Mo. – A jury trial is scheduled in Taney County Circuit Court for a man from Forsyth charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and two counts of resisting arrest.

Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Musica reportedly escaped from custody after fighting with a Forsyth police officer during a traffic stop around 2 a.m. New Year’s Eve.

Musica was later traced to a home near Taneyville after police circulated wanted posters in town and online. After leading officers on a brief food pursuit through the woods, Musica was apprehended by a Taney County Sheriff’s Deputy, …read more
